Saturn in Pisces & Pluto in Aquarius

March 2023 was a month of significant energetic shifts. The month began with the ingress of Saturn into Pisces on March 7, marking a big in energy for everyone. The two-week period between March 7-23 was intense for many people. During this time, many experienced intense rest, introspection, reflection, and even grief as we waited for Pluto to exit Capricorn and enter Aquarius.

Last week, inside The Rabbit Hole, I mentioned that Pluto in Capricorn at 29° (an anaretic degree that creates a sensation of crisis) is not fun for anyone, and it’s particularly challenging for people with placements in the 4 cardinal signs: Capricorn, Cancer, Aries, and Libra.

If you feel like all you were able to do in March was rest and integrate, don’t judge yourself for it. That’s precisely what you needed to do.

Below I will explain a little bit more about Saturn in Pisces and Pluto in Aquarius, and what you need to know to understand the significance of these changes.

Saturn in Pisces

Saturn entered Pisces on March 7, after spending time in the two Saturn-ruled signs (Capricorn and Aquarius) since the end of 2017. In Capricorn and Aquarius, Saturn is in his own domain. He sets the rules, expectations, boundaries, and blocks.

However, now that Saturn is in Jupiter-ruled sign Pisces, he is no longer in his own domain. Pisces is Jupiter’s domain, and Jupiter has a very different philosophy and perspective than Saturn. Jupiter rules expansion, optimism, hope, and positivity. The more shadowy nature of Jupiter includes overconsumption, uncontrolled growth, and leaking energy.

If you were born during the following dates, you were born with Saturn in Pisces:

• May 21, 1993 -Jun 30, 1993
• Jan 28, 1994-Apr 7, 1996
• Mar 23, 1964-Sep 16, 1964
• Dec 16, 1964-Mar 3, 1967

If your birthday falls during the 1993-1996 dates, you will go through your first Saturn return while Saturn is in Pisces.

If your birthday falls during the 1964-1967 dates, you will go through your second Saturn return while Saturn is in Pisces.

Saturn in Aquarius Invitations By Rising Sign

Aries Rising - Saturn in Pisces invites you to restructure your unconscious mind and what’s hidden away. This could look like reorganizing your basement or maybe starting a meditation practice. The next few years are at time to develop strategies to address the fears that block you in your daily life.

Taurus Rising - Saturn in Pisces invites you to create or work with others within specific boundaries. You might be set boundaries with extended family, friend, coworkers, or colleagues, or even develop a plan for how you can work better together. This could be a creative pursuit or involve childlike energy.

Gemini Rising - Saturn in Pisces invites you to take responsibility for how you show up in the world as a leader. What are the commitments you need to make in your work, as a parent, guardian, or as someone who others look to for a direction forward? Your own spiritual, creative, or intuitive practice will play an important role in how others see you as a leader.

Cancer Rising - Saturn in Pisces invites you to create systems, structures, and boundaries on an institutional level. If you have your own business, this might look like implementing standard operating procedures (maybe that you channeled from your guides—given Pisces energy here) or it could look like getting a new boss or supervisor in the institution you currently work for. It also might look like a call back to a religious, spiritual, or even financial institution you were formerly part of.

Leo Rising - Saturn in Pisces invites you to to look at the way you share resources with other people. How are you achieving your dreams together? You could receive support from someone else to accomplish your vision, or you could also need to put in hard work and effort to show investors that you are responsible with your resources and know how to distribute them appropriately. This could align with a commitment between two people that includes contracts, wills, or other documentation that speaks of the commitment two parties share with each other.

Virgo Rising - Saturn in Pisces invites you to look at your responsibilities to others and yourself. Over the next few years you might be discussing serious commitments within relationships while also looking at yourself and asking “How can I do better for me?” You might meet someone who challenges you to take responsibility not only for work and getting things done, but for pleasure, happiness and joy.

Libra Rising - Saturn in Pisces invites you to look at your day-to-day routines and see if they align with the life you desire to create. Is what you’re doing each day matching up to your personal vision for your life? If not, then the next few years are an opportunity to set boundaries and expectations with yourself about what’s important and what you value. If you feel like your life is really aligned with your vision, then the next few years might be an opportunity to mature and expand on what you’re already doing.

Scorpio Rising - Saturn in Pisces invites you to get serious about what you create. Whether you’re an artist (or dream to be) or you have a particular special interest you want to gain expertise in, the next few years are an opportunity for you to implement creative systems for managing fun, play, creativity, and pleasure.

Sagittarius Rising - Saturn in Pisces invites you to go home. This could be working around your current home on improvement projects and taking responsibility for creating a space you love to live in. This could be taking a closer look at the foundational beliefs you laid out your life upon—what was important to your family, what they wanted you learn, where they wanted you to go—and questioning your desire to maintain those beliefs. When you come out of this transit you’ll have a very clear understanding of where you come from, why it’s important, and what beliefs you choose to carry forward in the shaping of your life.

Capricorn Rising - Saturn in Pisces invites you to communicate clearly and responsibly. The next few years could spur you to travel to new places, learn new skills, and enjoy being at the beginning of a new journey. Responsibilities to your siblings, the land you come from, or to communicate and share on a particular topic might call to you over the next few years.

Aquarius Rising - Saturn in Pisces invites you to get clear on your values and worth. Over the last few years, you’ve had to really level up as a person and face many fears, blocks, and maturing points. Now that you’ve finished that journey, you’re preparing for an even bigger transformation while Pluto moves through Aquarius for the next twenty years. Saturn in Pisces might have you looking to change jobs, raise your rates, or search for a new role that allows you to show up for what you think is most important to show up for.

Pisces Rising - Saturn in Pisces is clearly most personal to you. For the next few years you’ll be invited to take responsibility for yourself, for your own personal vision, and for embodying the most matured, creative, visionary version of yourself you’ve ever been. There is some hard work ahead, but also when you show up to meet the energy there are rewards to be had.

Pluto in Aquarius

Pluto entered Aquarius on March 23, giving us a taste of what we will collectively experience while Pluto travels through Aquarius for the next twenty years. Pluto’s time in Capricorn is not quite over, as you’ll see in the timeline below:

• Pluto will travel forward in Aquarius between March 23-May 1, 2023.
• On May 1, Pluto stations retrograde, giving us a window through June 11, 2023, to reflect on this little taste of Pluto in Aquarius for about six weeks.
• From June 11, 2023-January 20, 2024, Pluto will re-enter Capricorn and remain around 29° Capricorn for the rest of 2023.

Pluto has been in Capricorn since 2008, and we have experienced immense collective and personal Tower moments (or moments of tearing everything down and rebuilding). While Pluto has been in Capricorn we’ve been particularly focused on government, banking, environment, infrastructure, regulations, and patriarchy.

With Pluto moving through Aquarius, I’m anticipating many different things, including: new and expanded regulation and regulatory institutions created for Tech, Cryptocurrency, LGBTQ rights, Air Travel and more. I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s an increase of on-the-ground policing or “safety” measures that takes place over the next twenty years. It’s highly possible that an increase in UFO sightings and even more Government communication about extraterrestrials will happen during this time. Future visioning related to the role of government, banking, and other forms of community management will occur over the next twenty years, with some of the most intense back-and-forth taking places over the next five years.
